I took this picture during a run along the waterfront at Seaport Village, in San Diego. This is where I started my day today. I flew east to snowy Baltimore, then to Chicago, where it reached a high of 18 degrees today. What a stark difference in temperatures and attitudes! Sigh... I'm hanging in there, though, and soon the days will be longer, and warmer, and sunshine will be taken for granted again. I get through the winter by traveling to warmer destinations when I work. Somewhere "where the weather suits my clothes." And you can be sure there's always a pair of flip flops in my suitcase. How do you get through? I envy you the change of scenery. I may try some cross country skiing today. Still snowing in Michigan - can't even see the lake from the road - snow drifts covering everything.

I can only imagine! I guess you just have to make the best of it. I have seen some incredible pictures of the lake and lighthouses up there. Doesn't even seem like the same place we visited last year!
